Matt Critchley took three wickets as Derbyshire’s bowlers got more valuable game time on Day Four of the friendly with Lancashire.
The all-rounder claimed 3-51, while George Scrimshaw also dismissed Keaton Jennings before lunch, as both sides sharpened up their games ahead of the start of the LV= County Championship next week.
Josh Bohannon (81) and Rob Jones (54 not out) were the stars of the final day for the hosts, along with Alex Davies (41 retired not out), who remained unbeaten in the match.
Derbyshire struggled to get going in the first session, but it was Scrimshaw who made the breakthrough when Jennings was caught by Wayne Madsen for 45.
Madsen took a second catch shortly before lunch to dismissed Steven Croft off Critchley, before the spinner also dismissed Bohannon and Dane Vilas (31) later in the day.
Derbyshire’s final pre-season friendly against Cardiff UCCE takes place at The Incora™ County Ground, starting on Saturday 3 April, before the beginning of the LV= County Championship season away to Warwickshire, starting Thursday 8 April.
