As the 2021 Vitality Blast draws closer, we take a look some of the reasons to come and cheer on the Falcons this summer.

From explosive action to the drama of Twenty20 cricket, here’s why you should buy Vitality Blast tickets early.

The return of Vitality Blast to Derbyshire.

Derbyshire haven’t played a Vitality Blast fixture on home soil since 2019, when they beat Northants Steelbacks on their way to a maiden Finals Day appearance.

The side greatly missed the comfort of The Incora County Ground and Queen’s Park, Chesterfield, last year, struggling in the competition while playing every game on the road.

Now, they are back in their home county and looking to replicate the success of two years ago, and you can be a part of it, as the Falcons return to Derbyshire for a summer of exciting Twenty20 action!

The rivalries.

Everybody loves a big match against their local rivals, and this year we have two huge home fixture to look forward to.

First, Derbyshire reignite the East Midlands Rivalry when we host Notts Outlaws under the lights of The Incora County Ground on Friday 25 June, with the 2019 encounter in Derby having sold out. Demand is high once again, so don’t delay if you want to get your weekend off to an explosive start.

The Falcons return to the picturesque Queen’s Park, as Dominic Cork’s side aim to extend their unbeaten streak against Yorkshire Vikings in Chesterfield, on Sunday 18 July.

The Yorkshire clash, which is part of the BRM Solicitors Chesterfield Festival of Cricket, has already sold more than 1,500 ticket, with demand still high for the ever-popular match.

With the game being placed as Derbyshire’s final group stage fixture, there could be everything riding on the meeting, which always promises drama right down to the final ball.

Overseas stars

The Vitality Blast is famous for attracting international talent, alongside the best domestic stars, and this year is no different.

Big-hitting Australia international, Ben McDermott, has joined Derbyshire for the tournament, after clearing just about any boundary he was challenged with during the most recent Big Bash.

Plenty more world-renowned players will be visiting The Incora County Ground this summer, and you can only see with with a Vitality Blast match ticket or a Blast Pass.

The perfect first game.

All forms of the game come with their own enthralling brand of suspense, but if you’re just getting into the sport, T20 may be the perfect taster for you.

With huge moments around every corner, you’ll be sucked in by the action on show, while getting to grips with the more complex side of live cricket. Supporters young and old love the format, so anyone looking to attend their first live match should join us at The Incora County Ground or Queen’s Park this summer.
