Derbyshire have extended their long-standing relationship with Official Partners Showcase Cinema de Lux, as the much-loved cinema brand re-opened its doors this week.
Showcase Cinema de Lux, who are the shirt sponsor for Derbyshire’s Vitality Blast and Royal London Cup kits, remain a dedicated supporter of cricket in the county, as Derbyshire reached T20 Finals Day for the first time in 2019.
As Derbyshire begin to welcome supporters back to The Incora County Ground and juniors into the Showcase Cinema de Lux Family Stand, the big screen is also back, with a huge line up of films ahead.
With Peter Rabbit 2, Godzilla vs Kong, Spiral: From The Book Of Saw and Nomadland already showing on the big screen, there’s plenty more to look forward to this summer and beyond with blockbusters such as Cruella, A Quiet Place Part 2, Black Widow, Top Gun: Maverick, Fast & Furious 9 and Ghostbusters: Afterlife all forthcoming. And of course Bond is back when No Time To Die is released in September.
Derby’s popular Showcase Cinema de Lux located in the Derbion Shopping Centre re-opened on 17th May and with family tickets for just £20, you can enjoy the magic of film together, for less.
Commercial Manager, Jimmy Drew, said: “We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Showcase Cinema de Lux, who have long since been at the forefront of our limited overs cricket, through shirt sponsorship and matchday activations for our Vitality Blast audiences.
“It’s brilliant to see their cinemas open again and it’ll be a huge lift for the local community to be able to enjoy films safely.
“Our white ball sides will proudly wear the Showcase logo across their shirts again this year, and we’re looking forward to seeing our supporters back in the ground to cheer them on.”
Mark Barlow, UK General Manager, Showcase Cinemas said: “We are delighted to continue our long-standing partnership with Derbyshire. The last year has been extremely hard on everyone, but the big screen is well and truly back, and we are looking forward to getting back to doing what we do best – entertaining the people of Derby and beyond and giving them that escapism that only cinema can deliver.”
