Shan Masood top-scored with a second-innings half-century, but Balochistan were beaten by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
The Pakistan opener, who will join Derbyshire for the entire 2022 season, was dismissed for just seven on a frantic Day One, which saw 22 wickets fall and just 235 runs scored.
However, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rallied on the second day and put on 264 in their second innings, setting Balochistan, who are chasing their first win of the campaign, a target of 281.
Masood batted positively and struck 13 boundaries to score 70 from just 83 deliveries. However, his dismissal left Balochistan 102-6, a score they would add just 33 more runs to before falling to a 145-run defeat.
Leus du Plooy will not be in action for South Western Districts this week, after their CSA Franchise Series four-day game against Northern Cape was postponed.
