Mickey Arthur met local and national media in his first press conference as Derbyshire Head of Cricket, which was streamed live across the Club’s YouTube channel.
Arthur was interviewed in-person for the first time by BBC Radio Derby’s Dave Fletcher and Derbyshire Live’s Mark Eklid, as well as being unveiled to national press over Zoom.
For the first-time-ever, Derbyshire’s press conference was broadcast live on YouTube, and a recording can be accessed in full by clicking the video above, giving supporters a glimpse into how Arthur will approach his new role with the Club.
Students from the University of Derby were also given the opportunity to pose questions to the former South Africa, Australia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka coach, giving them crucial experience.
The press conference was met with positivity across social media, with BBC Radio’s Kevin Howells in particular praising the event.
