Luis Reece closed-out pre-season with an unbeaten 101, as Derbyshire and Oxford UCCE played out a draw on a rain-affected Day Three.
Rain prevented the final day of the fixture from beginning until after lunch, with Billy Godleman (105) and Brooke Guest (66) retiring out to bring Wayne Madsen (23) and du Plooy (5) to the crease, although the latter fell after facing 12 deliveries.
By the time Madsen departed, Reece was already into the 30s and continuing to score at a fast rate, reaching his half-century in 47 balls, including nine fours.
Harry Came (12 not out) continued his good run in pre-season with a 52-ball innings, in which he anchored the 54-run partnership and allowed the settled Reece to continue to scoring freely.
Reece only made his comeback from knee and shoulder surgery against Nottinghamshire last week, but in just his third innings since going under the knife, he reached a 110-ball century, which included 17 boundaries, shortly before the players shook hands and the match ended in a draw.
