Seamer, Ryan Sidebottom, has returned to Warwickshire after his loan spell with Derbyshire concluded.
Sidebottom endured an difficult spell during his time with the Club, with his debut against Middlesex at Lord’s curtailed by a hamstring issue after just seven deliveries, which kept him out for two fixtures.
Upon his return, Sidebottom played a crucial role by taking four second-innings wickets, as Derbyshire and Glamorgan contested a thrilling draw which had all results in play until the final over.
Unfortunately, Sidebottom’s appearance against Worcestershire would be the final one of his loan-spell and he has now returned to Warwickshire to begin rehabilitation from his hamstring issue.
Head of Cricket, Mickey Arthur, said: “Ryan’s had a tough time with injury during his loan, but the energy and professionalism he brought to our group was a real plus in the first two months of our season.
“He’s an experienced seamer and our younger bowlers have learned a lot just by working with him every day. It’s not just how he works on the field, but how he is around the dressing room, in training and even when recovering from injury.
“We’d like to thank Ryan for his efforts for Derbyshire and I know everyone wishes him the best in his recovery.”
