Derbyshire pair Shan Masood and Wayne Madsen have been nominated for the PCA Player of the Month award for June.
Masood, who picked up the award for April, enjoyed a stellar June in the Vitality Blast, scoring four half-centuries, while he also made a match-winning 98 in the LV= County Championship against Middlesex at Queen’s Park, Chesterfield. The Pakistan batter is the second-highest run-scorer in the Vitality Blast, with an average 46.90.
Derbyshire’s all-time leading T20 run-scorer, Madsen has consistently shown his match-winning capabilities for Derbyshire throughout June. He and Masood put on partnerships of more than 80 three times in the Vitality Blast this month, while the 38-year-old also scored a stunning 176 against Sussex in the recent LV= County Championship fixture.
Masood (1,074) and Madsen (856) are the two leading run-scorers in the LV= County Championship Division Two, and both will be vying to claim the PCA Player of the Month Award for June.
