Pre-Match Pack: Sussex

Derbyshire have named a 13-man squad for their LV= County Championship fixture against Sussex at The 1st Central County Ground, starting tomorrow (11am). 

With 991 first-class runs to his name already this season, Shan Masood is the LV= County Championship’s leading run-scorer as we move into the second-half of the season, while Wayne Madsen will be looking to continue his own good red ball form.

Ben Aitchison returns to the squad for the first time this season, as he continues his recovery from a spinal bone injury, while all-rounder Hayden Kerr could be in-line to make his first-class debut for the Club.

The Opposition 

Sussex are second-from-bottom in the LV= County Championship Division Two, with 58 points from seven first-class fixtures. 

While they might be without a red ball win this season, Sussex pair Tom Haines (543) and Tom Clark (566) have shown good fortitude with the bat, scoring a combined three centuries and six half-centuries.

With the ball, promising seamer, Henry Crocombe, is the only play to have reached double-figures, with 15 dismissals to his name so far.
