With Shan Masood away on international duty with Pakistan and George Scrimshaw having been called up to the England lions for two fifty-over matches against South Africa, Australia all-rounder, Hilton Cartwright, could make his LV= County Championship debut for the Club, having featured in the Vitality Blast so far.

The Opposition

Sitting two places below Derbyshire in the LV= County Championship division two table on 98 points from eight matches, Durham have won only one of four home fixtures so far this season in the county championship.

In their last first-class out, Durham drew with Worcestershire, despite unbeaten centuries for both Ben Raine and Paul Coughlin, while Rachin Ravindra hit 263 runs across two innings in his sole appearance as an overseas batter.

England Test captain, Ben Stokes, is unavailable due to an England white ball call up,  but  Sean Dickson, who has hit 750 runs at an average of 68.18 this season, will be a prized wicket for Derbyshire, as will Australian debutant, Nic Maddison.
