Matchday Guide: Derbyshire vs Yorkshire

Derbyshire return to Queen’s Park to face Yorkshire in the Royal London Cup on Sunday 21 August; 11am start.

If you are joining us for this fixture, please read the information below which will ensure that your visit is safe, enjoyable and comfortable.

Gates Open: 90 minutes before the scheduled start of play
Interval: 2.30pm approx.
Second Innings commences: 3.15pm approx.
Close: 6.45pm approx.


Tickets

Tickets for Derbyshire final home Royal London Cup group stage game are on sale now.

Join us for this fixture from just £15 for Adults, £5 for Juniors (6-15) and £5 for Students (16-21 or Student Card).

Tickets will remain on sale online at derbyshireccc.com until 8am on the day of the fixture, while tickets will also be available on the gate.

On-site car parking has sold out. On-site car parking will not be available to purchase on the day. Car Park Pass holders can use their pass to park.

Members Guest Passes: The deadline for Members claiming Guest Passes for this fixture is 12pm on Friday 19 August.

Cashless Payment Only: All ticket purchase points (including Car Parking) operate cashless payments and only card/contactless methods of payment will be accepted.

Please note that Membership card & ticket scanners will be in operation at ALL gates. All pay gates will be card/contactless payment only. No cash payments.

Ground Access & Parking

Gates open at 9.30am for Members and ticket-holders and we ask all supporters not to arrive before this time to avoid queues on adjacent roads.

Pre-Purchased Parking: Entry by car for those with a pre-purchased Car Park Ticket, or a 2022 Car Park Season Pass (including Incora Executive Members) will be via the main entrance off Boythorpe Avenue (please see above map). No further on-site car parking will be available on the day.

Public Parking: Additional public parking is available at:

  • Holywell Cross pay and display car park; S40 1UT
  • Pay and display sites – North and South either side of the ground; S40 2ND.
  • Small Queen’s Park annex car park at Boythorpe Avenue / Park Road; S40 2QE. This is a pay and display car park.

Please do not park at Queen’s Park Sports Centre, this is reserved for sports centre users.

We encourage all supporters to plan their arrival at the ground, allowing plenty of time. Thank you for your co-operation.

Ground Access by Foot/Public Transport: Supporters who arrive on foot or by public transport and have pre-purchased tickets or a Derbyshire Membership Card can enter the ground via any of the three entrances displayed on the above map – off Boythorpe Avenue, via the Lake End (near the play area), or off Park Road.

Ticket Scanning: Once parked, or at the venue entrance on foot, all supporters will be required to pass through a scanning checkpoint, as directed by signage and on-site stewards.

You must present your Membership card or match ticket to be scanned (club-issued printed ticket, printed e-ticket, or e-ticket displayed on a smartphone).

Public Transport by Bus: The Comet bus service does not run between Derby and Chesterfield on Sundays.

Public Transport by Train: Due to potential disruption on the railways this weekend, spectators are advised to check the latest train timetables and plan their journey in advance.

The Club requested expressions of interest from Members and supporters regarding coach travel and the minimum threshold to make the service viable was not reached.


Roadworks

Affecting journeys from South Sheffield/Dronfield area: The A61 Dronfield bypass will be closed from 6am on Saturday, August 20, to 6pm on Sunday, August 21.

Affected motorists travelling from the north will be directed along the A6102 and the A6135 Moor Valley towards Eckington. Those travelling through Chesterfield from the south will be directed along the A619 through Brimington and Staveley.

The Club recommends spectators follow the diversion which will be in place, or alternatively use the M1 to Junction 29 and follow the A617 and A619 to Queen’s Park.

Current scheduled roadworks are not due to affect spectators travelling from Derby and using the A61 from south of Chesterfield towards Queen’s Park.


Seating & Viewing

Spectator Seating: Seating will be available around the ground, with the Members’ seating area located by the Main Pavilion.

Reserved/Unreserved Seating: All seating will be unreserved for this fixture, including the Members’ area.

Disabled Access: Priority seating for supporters with accessible needs will be available at various locations around the ground. If any supporter requires assistance with any seating arrangements, please contact your nearest steward.

Own Chairs: Supporters are permitted to bring their own chairs and picnic blankets for this fixture.

Dogs: Supporters can bring dogs into LV= County Championship and Royal London Cup fixtures, but not Vitality Blast matches.

The Club reserves the right to close certain spectator areas dependant on weather or attendance.


Members Area

2022 Season and Life Members will have exclusive access to the benched seating area to the side of the Main Pavilion. Please have your Membership Card ready to present to the steward upon entry.

Incora Executive Members will have exclusive use of the Executive Marquee, while the pre-order system for hot food will continue to be in operation. Executive Members have been sent an email with details of how to do this. For any issues linked to pre-ordering, please email [email protected].


Food & Drink

Refreshments: There will be a range of catering units on site, serving a variety of hot and cold food, including vegetarian and vegan options, as well as the popular Woodfired Pizza Van. Plus, no visit to Queen’s Park would be complete without an ice cream!

The Club operates Challenge 25 and a responsible drinking policy. Low alcohol, or 0% beer, cider and gin will be available.

Spectators are permitted to bring their own refreshments to this fixture, however alcohol is limited to four standard-size cans, or equivalent.


Reception & Club Shop

Club Shop: The Club Shop, located in the conservatory on the top bank by the pavilion, will be open during the interval.

For this fixture, the Club’s Reception/Ticket Office will be located in the conservatory, alongside the Club Shop.

Online Shop: The Club’s new Online Shop is now live at derbyshireccc.com.

Scorecards: A blank scorecard template can be downloaded for free, HERE. A teamsheet can also be collected from the entrance points around the ground. Please note, this will not be updated after the toss due to being at an out-ground. As part of the Club’s initiative to reduce paper waste, we encourage supporters to use the Club website for the latest score and team information via our Match Centre (details and link below).


Weather

There are no areas of covered seating and supporters are encouraged to check the latest weather forecast before planning their visit and prepare accordingly.

While refreshments will be available from outlets around the ground, the Club advises supporters to bring plenty of bottled water.

All official updates on play, which are provided solely by the Match Officials, will be communicated via the Club’s Twitter account HERE. You do not need to sign-up for a Twitter account to see these updates.

Cashless Venue

Since the start of the 2021 season, Derbyshire has operated a cashless policy across all Club-managed points of sale on site – from ticket gates, to catering. This includes our fixtures at Queen’s Park.

All of our catering and bar tills will accept all major debit/credit cards, as well as contactless payment options, including Apple and Android Pay.

This fixture will be Live Streamed on the club website through our Match Centre.

With Live Streaming, in-play scorecards, ball by ball commentary, clips, statistics and so much more, you can put yourself at the heart of the action.

Clips and updates will also be provided via our social media channels, so make sure you’re following us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, so you never miss a moment of the action.

Please note that, due to being at an out-ground, the Club’s Live Stream will differ to games hosted at The Incora County Ground.
