Thursday 15th September 2022
& News

Derbyshire have introduced a Disability Liaison Officer as part of the Club’s ongoing commitment to making cricket in Derbyshire accessible to all.

Cricket is a game for everyone, and Derbyshire are one of the first cricket clubs to appoint a Disability Liaison Officer, as part of the Club’s continuing effort to make cricket safe and accessible for all to enjoy

Plans are underway to install new toilets at the ground, including additional disabled toilets, while dedicated accessible viewing bays will be a new addition for the 2023 season, ensuring supporters with accessibility needs have an unobstructed view of the outfield.

Derbyshire Disability Liaison Officer, Lily Smith, will be based in the Incora Pavilion to advise and assist supporters with any needs they may have.

The Club have also launched Disabled Supporter Information Page, which will act as a hub for all information which disabled supporters will need ahead of a visit to Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
