Matchday Guide: England vs India

England return to The Incora County Ground for a Vitality Women’s International T20 against India on Tuesday 13 September; 6.00pm start.

In a statement on Friday 9 September, the England & Wales Cricket Board confirmed that from Saturday, domestic and international cricket fixtures would resume to pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and to honour her remarkable life and service. This follows consultation with the DCMS and follows Official National Mourning guidance. Before the fixture, a minute’s silence will be observed, followed by the national anthem.

Ticket Sales on the Day

To avoid queues on the day, the Club encourages all spectators to buy in advance.

On-the-day ticket sales will be via the Main Pavilion entrance (accessibility tickets or arrive on foot) and the Racecourse Car Park entrance (arriving by car).

The Incora County Ground is a cashless venue and only card/contactless methods of payment will be accepted.


Ground Access & Parking

Gates open 120 minutes before the scheduled start of play and we ask all supporters not to arrive before this time.

Hospitality guests should follow the arrival time noted in their booking information.

The Club operates up to three Car Parks on matchdays:
– Main Pavilion Car Park (A): Incora Executive Members & Accessibility Car Park Tickets ONLY for this fixture.
– Frank Whittle Overflow Car Park (B): Additional parking via the Sir Frank Whittle Road entrance. Seasonal Car Park Pass Holders ONLY for this fixture.
– The Racecourse Car Park (C): Off St Mark’s Road (DE21 6AL). ALL ON-THE-DAY PARKING FOR THIS FIXTURE.

Traffic & Reduced Parking: Due to this fixture being broadcast live on the BBC and Sky Sports, there will be reduced parking available and traffic will be busy close to the venue. All spectators are urged to follow the car park details above and make their way to their designated car park.

Pre-Purchased Car Parking: All pre-purchased matchday parking tickets can park in the Racecourse Car Park (C) off St Mark’s Road (DE21 6AL).

On-the-day Car Parking: All on-the-day matchday parking tickets can park in the Racecourse Car Park (C) off St Mark’s Road (DE21 6AL). All pay gates will be card/contactless payment only. No cash payments. Car Park tickets priced at £10 on the day.

Car Park Pass Holders: Supporters with a seasonal Car Park Pass can park in the Frank Whittle overflow car park, as directed by signage and stewards.

Incora Executive Members can use their Pavilion Car Park Pass to park by the main Incora Pavilion.

Accessible Car Parking: Accessible Car Parking spaces are available in the Incora Pavilion car park and via the run-through and stewards will direct cars to a designated accessible parking bay. As with Match Tickets, we encourage all those who require Accessible Car Parking to book in advance of the fixture.

Accessible Parking can be pre-purchased until 5pm the day before the matchday by calling 01332 388 101 during our opening hours (Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm), or by emailing [email protected] to request a call-back. All Accessible Car Parking which is not purchased in advance will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ground Access by Foot/Public Transport: Pedestrians who walk to the venue or arrive by public transport can enter via the main Incora Pavilion entrance.

Pre-Purchased Ticket Scanning: Once parked, or at the venue entrance on foot, all supporters will be required to pass through a scanning checkpoint, as directed by signage and on-site stewards. This will be via the main Pavilion entrance, the Sir Frank Whittle Road car park entrance and the Racecourse car park entrance. Those who park in the Car Park off Sir Frank Whittle Way will be able to pass through the ticket scanning point on that side of the ground.

You must present your Membership card or match ticket to be scanned (club-issued printed ticket, printed e-ticket, or e-ticket displayed on a smartphone).


Seating & Viewing

Spectator Seating: The ground map to the foot of this section shows spectator seating areas, highlighted in light blue. The Showcase Cinema de Lux Family Stand (highlighted in amber) is a reserved seating area for those spectators who have specifically bought a ticket for that block.

Reserved/Unreserved Seating: The Showcase Cinema de Lux Family Zone is the only area of reserved seating in operation. All other areas of spectator seating are unreserved and we request supporters do not leave bags etc on seats in an attempt to reserve.

Disabled Access: Priority seating for supporters with accessible needs will be available on the front row of the main Falcons Stand and the East Midlands Demolition Stand. This will be on a first-come, first-served basis. If any supporter requires assistance with any seating arrangements, please contact your nearest steward. Own Chairs: Supporters are permitted to bring their own chairs for this fixture. Please note, stewards may ask supporters to move to keep walkways clear.

Dogs: Supporters can bring dogs into LV= County Championship and Royal London Cup fixtures, but not T20 matches.


The Club reserves the right to close certain spectator areas dependant on weather or attendance.


Showcase Cinema de Lux Family Zone & Matchday Entertainment

The Showcase Cinema de Lux Family Zone is located between the Air IT Grandstand and the WDS Business & Media Centre (see Ground Map above) and is a reserved seating zone for spectators who have pre-purchased a reserved seat in this family zone.

Behind the seating area there will be a NEW Speed Cage, with competitions run by the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation. Test your bowling skills and set your personal best with our new game for all ages!

Or bring your own Kwik Cricket or soft ball equipment and take to the grass bank behind the Family Zone – the perfect area for mini games of cricket.

Giveaways: From Scatterblasts – your chance to catch a free Vitality IT20 T-Shirt during the game – to 4/6 cards and more, there are plenty of exciting giveaways at The Incora County Ground this summer.

We Got Game: New for 2022, the We Got Game activation area will be on display, including a digital whiteboard, a polaroid photobooth and have-a-go installations such as target challenges.

Plus, meet the players as the England stars pose for photographs with supporters and take part in signing sessions to round off a great matchday experience at The Incora County Ground.


Members Area

2022 and Life Members will be able to use the exclusive Incora Members Lounge as an indoor/balcony viewing area, while bar facilities will be available. Please have your Membership Card ready to present to the steward upon entry.

Please note, the Members Lounge, as with seating around the ground, is unreserved and we kindly ask Members to not leave items unattended on seats/benches.

Incora Executive Members will have exclusive use of the Incora Executive Lounge, while the pre-order system for hot food will continue to be in operation. Food & Drink

NEW for this year’s Vitality Blast, supporters will be able to take advantage of a new range of food and drink options at The Incora County Ground.

The Woodfired Pizza Van will be back making a range of fresh pizzas an NEW for this fixture, Derbyshire County Cricket Club have partnered with the popular Project D to offer spectators a range of delicious donuts, handmade in Derby.

The range of food outlets will also offer favourites such as burgers, chicken and fries, plus ice cream.

The majority of outlets will also offer a range of tasty vegan and gluten-free options.

Member Catering: There will be no hot food served in the Incora Members’ Lounge.

The menu for Incora Executive Members will be communicated via the pre-ordering system.

Refreshments: Additional catering and pop-up bar facilities will be available, serving a range of draught beers and ciders, bottled beers, wines, prosecco, Pimm’s and cocktails in glasses or carafes, and soft drinks from gates opening until the close of play.

Four-pint beer jugs, subject to availability, will quench even the biggest thirst.

The Club operates Challenge 25 and a responsible drinking policy. All bars offer low alcohol, or 0% beer, cider and gin. Orders of alcoholic drinks are limited to 4 per person, per order.

The Club’s alcohol-free seating section during Vitality Blast matches is located at one side of the Air IT Grandstand, nearest the Showcase Cinema de Lux Family Zone.

Reusable Drinkware: The Club operates a Reusable Drinkware policy, details of which can be found HERE.

Spectators are permitted to bring their own refreshments to this fixture, however alcohol is not permitted. Soft drinks/water must be brought in clear plastic bottles – cans will not be permitted.


Reception & Club Shop

Reception in The Incora Pavilion will be open to supporters wishing to purchase tickets for future fixtures/events, or to enquire about Membership.

Club Shop: The Club Shop on site at The Incora County Ground will be open from 4.00pm until the end of the interval.

Online Shop: The Club’s new Online Shop is now live at derbyshireccc.com. The shop now includes replica match kit, as well as a range of other Club merchandise and the official Derbyshire County Cricket Club 150th Anniversary book.

Scorecards: A blank scorecard and teamsheet can be collected from Reception in the Incora Pavilion. As part of the Club’s initiative to reduce paper waste, we encourage supporters to use the Club website for the latest score and team information via our Match Centre (details and link below).


Weather

The only covered seating zone is the East Midlands Demolition Stand.

Executive Members may use the Incora Executive Lounge, while the Incora Members Lounge will be used as an exclusive Members facility.

Supporters are encouraged to check the latest weather forecast before planning their visit and prepare accordingly. While refreshments will be available from outlets around the ground, the Club advises supporters to bring plenty of bottled water.

Cashless Venue

Since the start of the 2021 season, Derbyshire has operated a cashless policy across all Club-managed points of sale on site – from ticket gates, to catering.

All of our catering and bar tills will accept all major debit/credit cards, as well as contactless payment options, including Apple and Android Pay.
