Brooke Guest enjoyed a stellar weekend for South Perth Cricket Club, top-scoring with 106 as his side defeated Rockingham-Mandurah in the Western Australia Cricket Association first grade.
Guest scored ten fours and two sixes in his 117-ball knock, helping South Perth to 279-9 from 50 overs, before Rockingham-Mandurah were bowled out for 180 inside 45 overs.
Having signed their first professional deals with the Club, Pathway graduates Archie Harrison and Mitch Wagstaff will be testing themselves in Australian grade cricket, with all-rounder, Harrison, playing for Northern Districts Cricket Club, and Wagstaff at Corowa Cricket Club.
Harrison got his campaign off to a bright start, by helping ‘the Butchers’ to a 33-run victory over Wollongong, while the weather has made Wagstaff wait to get started down under.
Newly-appointed Club Captain, Leus du Plooy, will be in action for Boland Rocks throughout the CSA T20 Challenge in South Africa. The left-handed batter will also feature for Joburg Super Kings in the inaugural SA20 competition in early 2023.
Luis Reece is also in Australia, continuing his long-standing association with Gosnells Cricket Club, while Harry Came is playing for Claremont in South Africa.
In January and February 2023, Wayne Madsen will be playing for Gulf Giants in the newly formed International League T20, alongside players such as Chris Jordan, Richard Gleeson, Ollie Pope and Chris Lynn.
