Archie Harrison continued his strong start to life in Australia with Northern Districts Cricket Club, scoring a century against Wollongong.
Harrison, who last week lifted T20 silverware with ‘The Butchers’, scored 103 of the side’s 193-8, but Wollongong came out on top in the Cricket Illawarra Men’s One Day Premiership, chasing down the target in 41.3 overs.
Elsewhere, Brooke Guest (17 not out) and Luis Reece (30 not out) will look to pile on the runs next Saturday, for South Perth and Gosnells respectively, on Day Two of their Western Australia Cricket Association First Grade fixtures.
South Perth are 60-1 against Fremantle, who posted 172 in their first innings, while Reece’s Gosnells will resume on 58-2, after Scarborough were all out for 229.
With adverse weather conditions delaying his Corowa debut, Mitch Wagstaff’s Australian stint got underway this weekend, with the Derbyshire youngster scoring 14 in a First Grade defeat to East Albury, while Harry Came made four as Claremont were beaten by Cape Town in the Western Province One-Day Premier League.
Leus du Plooy’s Boland Rocks were beaten by Dolphins in the CSA T20 Challenge semi-final, with the Derbyshire Club Captain claiming the wicket of South Africa international Khayelihle Zondo.
