Harry Came struck a century for Claremont, on a positive week collectively for Derbyshire’s players overseas.

Came, who was named Derbyshire’s Second XI player of the Year for 2022, smashed 115 from 99 balls, including 12 fours, as Claremont dominated Kraaifontein CC, winning by 160 runs in the Western Province One-Day Premier League.

Also in South Africa, Club Captain, Leus du Plooy, was the key man for Joburg Super Kings as they picked up two huge SA20 wins over Pretoria Capitals & Sunrisers Eastern Cape respectively.

The left-handed batter hit 75 not out from just 40 in the first game at The Wanderers against Pretoria, before again top-scoring with an unbeaten 47, and showing a cool head, to guide his side to a dramatic last-over victory over Eastern Cape.

He’s next in action, live on Sky Sports Cricket against Durban Super Giants tomorrow, starting from 3.30pm.

Down under, Brooke Guest claimed four catches and finished on 16 not out on Day One of South Perth’s game against Joondalup, which will resume on Saturday, while Luis Reece continued his good form for Gosnells with 72 on Day One against Perth in the Western Australian Cricket Association – 1st Grade.
