Following a request from Sri Lanka Cricket, the England & Wales Cricket Board have mutually agreed to a schedule change to the England Women’s white-ball home series against Sri Lanka planned for September. There is no date or time change to the fixture held at The Incora County Ground.
The request from Sri Lanka came following the confirmation of the Asian Games 2023 and the series will commence with three Vitality IT20s on Thursday 31 August at The 1stCentral County Ground, Hove. Hove has moved from hosting an ODI on Sunday 17 September, to an IT20 on Thursday 31 August, starting at 6.00pm.
The remaining IT20s are at The Cloud County Ground, Chelmsford, on Saturday 2 September and The Incora County Ground, Derby, on Wednesday 6 September (6pm scheduled start). The fixture in Derby was due to be the middle T20, but will now provide a dramatic climax to the three-match series.
The three-match ODI series will commence at the Seat Unique Riverside, Chester-le-Street, Durham, on Saturday 9 September. Durham originally had an IT20 scheduled. Northamptonshire’s County Ground will host the second ODI on Tuesday 12 September, while the third ODI will take place at Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicestershire, on Thursday 14 September.
The Spitfire Ground, Canterbury, which was due to stage an ODI in the original schedule, will no longer host a match in this series.
The Asian Games are scheduled in Hangzhou, China from 23 September 23 to 8 October.

England return to The Incora County Ground in 2023 for a huge Vitality IT20 against Sri Lanka on Wednesday 6 September (6pm).
England have lost just once at Derby since 2017, with the ground becoming one of the premiere venues for women’s international cricket in the country, having hosted blockbuster clashes against India, West Indies, New Zealand and South Africa in recent years.
