Pre-Match Pack: Lancashire Lightning - Blast Off

Derbyshire have named a 14-player squad for the opening Vitality Blast fixture against Lancashire Lightning at Edgbaston, as part of Blast Off. 

Pakistan fast bowler, Zaman Khan, is named in the squad after arriving in England this week, while George Scrimshaw could be in line for his first appearance of the season, after taking 23 T20 wickets in 2022.

Aneurin Donald could make his Derbyshire Falcons debut after joining the Club on a short-term loan from Hampshire, while Brooke Guest missing out due to a minor hamstring strain.

The Opposition

Lancashire Lightning finished as runners up in the 2022 Vitality Blast, falling to a dramatic final ball defeat to Hampshire at Finals Day. 

New signings, Colin de Grandhomme and Daryl Mitchell add international quality to a strong lineup, with England internationals Saqib Mahmood, Matt Parkinson and Richard Gleeson part of the bowling attack.
