The Opposition
Like the Falcons, Leicestershire Foxes are looking for their first win of the campaign, with fast-bowler, Naveen ul-Haq arriving from his stint at the IPL in time to face Derbyshire on Thursday evening.
No Leicestershire batter has passed 50 in a T20 yet this season, but they will be aiming to put that right on Thursday, if they are to overcome Mickey Arthur’s side.
Conversely, Birmingham Bears have made a perfect start to the competition, with three wins from as many games. Batter Sam Hain has been a key reason for their good form, scoring two half-centuries and maintaining a strike-rate above 150.
With the ball, Danny Briggs has taken seven wickets at an average of 6.42, as the Blast’s all-time leading wicket-taker continues to show his class.
