This Friday night the East Midlands derby is renewed, with the Falcons looking to claim a big home win against their fierce rivals.
Luis Reece and Wayne Madsen powered their way to half-centuries at Trent Bridge two weeks ago and will be looking to replicate that form this week.
Both sides have internationally experienced players and coaching staff, with former international coaches Mickey Arthur and Peter Moores in charge of their respective sides.
So what can you expect from this mouth-watering clash between the two sides?
Top-class cricket
Both sides have players capable of smashing the ball all around the ground and boast bowlers who can bowl seriously quick. Wayne Madsen has started the season in red-hot form, producing scores of fifty or more in the first five Vitality Blast matches, including one hundred. He faces up against the likes of Notts Outlaw Alex Hales, who recently became the first English batter to score 11,00 T20 runs.
The bowling attack sees Pakistan internationals Zaman Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi go head-to-head. Both players know each other well, representing Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. Capable of bowling destructive yorkers and searingly quick bouncers, both the Falcons and Outlaws will look towards these players to lead their bowling unit.
