Derbyshire Cricket Foundation to host Walking Cricket and Monday Mates sessions

The Derbyshire Cricket Foundation have a new weekly Walking cricket group starting on the Monday 24 July, at The Incora County Ground from 12pm to 1.30pm.

The hour-long walking cricket session will take place in the indoor nets located in the Ryley Wealth Elite Performance Centre, followed by refreshments in the DCF’s classroom.

All abilities are welcome, from those who are beginners right through to those who are well seasoned in the sport. The sessions will be lively, friendly with a focus on enjoyment rather than hard and fast rules.

As well as this, the next Monday Mates session, will be on Monday 7 August. Monday Mates is a café open to all and especially for those who are affected by Dementia and their carers.

It is a warm and welcoming space to have a hot drink and enjoy the company of others, alongside fun tabletop activities such as quizzes, puzzles, crafts and games. There is also a chance to take part in some adapted physical activity such as chair aerobics.

It runs the first Monday of every month, 10-12pm in the KapptureLegends Lounge, The Incora County Ground, DE21 6DA. The Derbyshire Cricket Foundation will be on hand to welcome you on arrival.
