World class T20 cricket

Some of the world’s very best will be on show at The Incora County Ground on Wednesday 6 September, when England face Sri Lanka. For the hosts, the number one ranked IT20 bowler, Sophie Ecclestone, will be looking to spin her side to victory, while Derbyshire’s own Sarah Glenn, herself ranked in the top five, will have the backing of her home county.

Nat Sciver-Brunt and Issy Wong were dominant in India, as they won the inaugural Women’s Premier League, with both also being named in England’s Ashes squad for the current series.

For Sri Lanka, the number one-ranked ODI batter, Chamari Athapaththu, will be in action, hoping to translate her imperious 50-over form into the shoter format. She recently smashed two centuries in three innings to claim a 2-1 series victory over New Zealand.
