More T20 in Derby with England Women vs Sri Lanka

Monday 7th August 2023
& News

Twenty20 cricket returns to The Incora County Ground on Wednesday 6 September (6pm), as England Women’s Ashes heroes face Sri Lanka.

Record attendances have already witnessed five thrilling T20 fixtures at Derby this summer, during Derbyshire Falcons’ Vitality Blast campaign, but the shortest format isn’t over quite yet, as England take on Sri Lanka, with some of the world’s best players in action.

Number-one ranked ODI batter, Nat Sciver-Brunt, and the world’s best white-ball spinner, Sophie Ecclestone, will go head-to-head with the likes of Chamiri Athapaththu at a venue where the hosts have only tasted defeat once since 2017, and the series could be on the line in the East Midlands!

England come into the game fresh from inflicting Australia’s first T20 series defeat since 2017 and first ODI series loss in a decade, England will be looking to entertain the crowd in Derby, as Derbyshire-born hero, Sarah Glenn, looks to inspire a victory on home soil.
