Derbyshire’s fixtures for the 2024 season have been confirmed, with an increase in weekend cricket and County Championship fixtures to be played in every month throughout next summer.
Mickey Arthur’s side will begin the season with a three-day fixture against Leeds MCCU at The Incora County Ground, starting on Sunday 31 March, before kicking off the County Championship campaign by hosting Gloucestershire on Friday 5 April.
The Falcons begin the Vitality Blast away to Northants Steelbacks on Thursday 30 May, before facing Leicestershire Foxes at Edgbaston as part of the award-winning Blast Off double-header. The East Midlands Derby against Notts Outlaws returns to The Incora County Ground on Friday 7 June.
The BRM Solicitors Chesterfield Festival of Cricket returns from Sunday 30 June, and will consist of a Championship fixture against Yorkshire, before Derbyshire Falcons once again take on Yorkshire Vikings in Vitality Blast action at Queen’s Park, on Sunday 7 July.
With two first-class matches now set to be played in August, the Metro Bank One Day Cup will begin on Wednesday 24 July, with Derbyshire making the trip to face Northants Steelbacks.
After an historic summer for women’s cricket in 2023, The Incora County Ground will play host to the Charlotte Edwards Cup Finals Day on Saturday 22 June, while The Blaze will play fixtures at Derby and Queen’s Park respectively over the summer.
