Derbyshire all-rounders, David Lloyd and Luis Reece, spoke to the Club as the fixtures for the 2024 season were announced earlier today.
New arrival Lloyd represented Derbyshire for a period on loan during the Metro Bank One-Day Cup campaign, and discussed which fixtures he was most looking forward to in the 2024 calendar.
The highlights of the schedule for Lloyd are kicking off the season with a home fixture against Gloucestershire as well as the County Championship fixtures against Glamorgan, his former side. The East Midlands Rivalry against Notts Outlaws at The Incora County Ground was a fixture the new recruit was extremely keen to experience, in what promises to be a enthralling encounter after Samit Patel’s switch over from Nottinghamshire.

Top order batter Reece spoke about the fixtures that will take place at Queen’s Park, as part of the BRM Solicitors Chesterfield Festival of Cricket, in association with Chesterfield Borough Council.
Having been a part of the Derbyshire sides over the years to take on Yorkshire in the north of the county, Reece knows all about the impact the crowd bring to the Derbyshire side as they aim to keep the unbeaten T20 streak alive over the Yorkshire Vikings.
The festival presents an opportunity to the players and fans alike to head to a different ground in the season, and Reece wants to make sure that Chesterfield remains a happy hunting ground for the squad heading into 2024.
