Promoted teams kick off summer of sport in Derbyshire

Congratulations to Derby County Men’s team and Chesterfield FC Men’s team on their promotions to The Championship and League Two respectively. 

Highlighting the sporting pedigree in our region, Derby County are celebrating a double success, with their Women’s team having also recently lifted the FA Women’s National League Plate.

Chesterfield FC enjoyed a remarkable season, sitting atop the National League table for the vast majority of the campaign and astonishingly securing the title and promotion in March!

The football season might be over, but there’s a full summer of sport ahead!

No more football to whet your sporting appetite? No problem! The Vitality Blast T20 competition returns next month, with seven huge Derbyshire Falcons home fixtures to enjoy before the start of the new EFL campaign.
