Pre-Match Pack: Sussex (H)

Derbyshire have named a 12-player squad for their Vitality County Championship fixture against Sussex, starting at The County Ground tomorrow (11am). 

New overseas signing, Daryn Dupavillon, has joined up with the squad and could make his debut at The County Ground this week, while Sam Conners returns after a groin injury.

Wayne Madsen scored a century in the draw against Yorkshire at Headingley, with Brooke Guest, Aneurin Donald and Zak Chappell all passing 50 during the match, as Derbyshire look to build on that batting form on home soil.

The Opposition

Sussex have enjoyed a strong start to the Vitality County Championship campaign, winning once and picking up two draws from their opening three fixtures. 

John Simpson, Danny Lamb and Cheteshwar Pujara are in good form with the bat, each averaging more than 80 and combining for two centuries and three fifties so far.

With the ball, overseas fast bowler, Jaden Seales, has emerged as one of the standout bowlers in the division, taking 12 wickets at an average of 24.83, while the spin duo of James Coles and Jack Carson have combined for 18 dismissals.
