Traffic Information: Chesterfield Festival

The BRM Chesterfield Festival of Cricket returns to Queen’s Park on Sunday 30 June for the start of the Vitality County Championship fixture versus Yorkshire.

Derbyshire County Cricket Club encourages all spectators to read its Matchday Guide before travelling to the venue, to ensure you make the most of your visit.

We advise all spectators to plan their journeys in advance and allow additional time when travelling to Queen’s Park. Gates open at 9.30am.

Roadworks

There are several roadworks on the popular route along the A61 for supporters travelling from Derby and the surrounding areas.

Queen’s Park is located at: Boythorpe Avenue, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S40 2BF

Latest Roadworks

Travelling North along the A61

There are several temporary traffic lights in operation on the A61 after exiting the A38 at Alfreton. These include:

  • Stretton (A61 approaching Clay Cross)
  • Roadworks also on B6013 through Toadhole Furnace and Higham
  • Tupton (A61 at Nethermoor Road roundabout)

Other Roadworks

  • There are several roadworks on the B6057/Sheffield Road in Unstone
  • The M1 North & South: While no road closures are planned for during the Festival, lane closures and speed restrictions are in place
