Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway graduates, Sarah Glenn and Bess Heath, have been named in the England squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Glenn, who recently lifted The Women’s Hundred trophy with London Spirit, has claimed 81 international T20 wickets in 64 appearances and is ranked as the second-best bowler in the format, behind teammate Sophie Ecclestone.
Heath has featured five times for England since making her international debut last year and will be hoping to make her World Cup bow in the United Arab Emirates this October.
Both players are Derbyshire born and came through the Women & Girls Pathway, with England Women’s all-time leading T20 run-scorer, Danni Wyatt, having also spent time in the development system.
