Derbyshire fast bowler, Pat Brown, has been called-up to the England Lions squad for next month’s tour of Australia.
Brown, 26, made his return to the England setup for the training camp in South Africa earlier this month, claiming an impressive 4-44 against the CSA Invitational XI in Cape Town, alongside fellow Derbyshire bowler, Harry Moore.
The former Worcestershire quick has been named as part of a 16-player squad for the tour of Australia, which will include two four-day fixtures against a Cricket Australia XI and an Unofficial Four-Day Test Match against Australia A.
His inclusion in the Lions squad is the latest chapter in a busy winter of cricket for Derbyshire players around the world, with Wayne Madsen & Zak Chappell having lifted the Global Super League trophy for Mickey Arthur’s Rangpur Riders, Caleb Jewell set to begin his Big Bash campaign with Hobart Hurricanes and various players featuring in Australian Grade cricket.
