Derbyshire begin the 2025 season with a Rothesay County Championship fixture against Gloucestershire at The County Ground, starting on Friday 4 April.

If you are joining us for this fixture, please read the information below which will ensure that your visit is safe, enjoyable and comfortable.

Intervals: Lunch 1.00pm • Tea 3.40pm or when 32 overs remain
Close: 6.00pm approx.


Tickets

Buying in Advance: Tickets are on sale now, priced at £17 for Adults, FREE for Juniors (up to age 15) and £5 for Students (Age 16-24/Student Card).

Car Parking is also on sale, priced at £8 in advance and £10 on the day.

Buying on the Day: All supporters wishing to buy a ticket on the day will need to do so at the Club’s Matchday Ticket Sales Point. Please see the Ground Map below for the location of the Ticket Sales Point.

Supporters are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, via the link below, to save time when arriving at the venue.

Please note that Membership card & ticket scanners will be in operation at ALL gates. All ticket sales must be card/contactless payment only. No cash payments.

Ground Entry & Parking

Gates open 60 minutes before the scheduled start of play and we ask all supporters not to arrive before this time.

Club-operated Matchday Car Parks:

The below applies to County Championship fixtures.
– Main Pavilion Car Park (A): Executive Members, Seasonal Car Park Pass Holders, Accessibility Car Park Tickets
– Frank Whittle Overflow Car Park (B): Additional parking via the Sir Frank Whittle Road entrance for Seasonal Car Park Pass Holders and on-the-day buyers
– The Racecourse Car Park (C): Off St Mark’s Road (DE21 6AL) Closed

Pre-Purchased Car Park Ticket & On-the-Day Parking: Supporters are advised to purchase a Car Park ticket in advance to save time when entering the ground and to also save £2 compared to the on the day price. For where to park, please see the above Car Park location information.

Ample on-site Car Parking is available and we ask supporters to arrive after the scheduled ground opening and to not queue outside the venue prior to this time.

All pay gates will be card/contactless payment only. No cash payments.

Book Parking

Accessible Car Parking: Accessible Car Parking spaces are available in the Pavilion car park and via the run-through. We encourage all spectators wishing to use an Accessible Car Park bay to pre-purchase their tickets. Accessible Car Park tickets can be pre-purchased until 5pm the day before the matchday by calling 01332 388 101 during our opening hours (Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm), or by emailing [email protected] to request a call-back.

Ground Access by Foot/Public Transport: Pedestrians who walk to the venue or arrive by public transport can enter via the main Pavilion entrance.

Ticket Scanning: Once parked, or at the venue entrance on foot, all supporters will be required to pass through a scanning checkpoint, as directed by signage and on-site stewards. This will be via the main Pavilion entrance. Those who park in the Car Park off Sir Frank Whittle Way will be able to pass through the ticket scanning point on that side of the ground.

You must present your Membership card or match ticket to be scanned (club-issued printed ticket, printed e-ticket, or e-ticket displayed on a smartphone).

Spectator access to the outfield: At lunch, supporters are welcome to come onto the outfield, however, you must remain off the square. Any spectators who do not respect this request will be removed from the field.


Seating & Viewing

Spectator Seating: The ground map above shows spectator seating areas, highlighted in light blue. All available seating will be unreserved. The Club reserves the right to close certain spectator areas dependant on weather or attendance.

The new stand, adjacent to the Media Centre, will not be open for this fixture while final fitting works take place. It is expected that the new stand will be open for Derbyshire’s second home fixture in April.

Disabled Access: Priority seating for supporters with accessibility needs will be available on the front row of the main Falcons Stand and to the back of the Grandstand in designated Accessible Viewing Bays. The use of these bays for this fixture will be on a first-come, first-served and unreserved basis. If any supporter requires assistance with any seating arrangements, please contact your nearest steward. Accessible toilets are located behind the Seat Unique Falcons Stand, in the Pavilion, to the back of the Business & Media Centre and the Ryley Wealth Elite Performance Centre (see Ground Map above).

Own Chairs: Supporters can bring their own chairs to sit on the grassed or concrete areas, however walkways must be kept clear at all times and stewards may direct supporters to move should they be blocking access.

Dogs: Supporters can bring dogs into County Championship and One-Day Cup fixtures. Subject to change.


Additional Spectator Facilities

Multi-Faith Room: The Club’s Multi-Faith Room, located beneath the Business & Media Centre, will be open for use by spectators. For assistance, please speak to your nearest steward.

Toilets: Check the ground map above for the location of toilets around the ground. A Changing Places toilet is available behind the Seat Unique Falcons Stand and a key for the facility can be obtained from Main Reception in The Pavilion.


Members Area

2025 and Life Members will be able to use the Members Lounge as an indoor/balcony viewing area, while catering and bar facilities will be available. Please have your Membership Card ready to present to the steward upon entry.

Visiting Members are also permitted to use the Members Lounge.

Executive Members can take advantage of facilities within the Executive Lounge, while the pre-order system for hot food will continue to be in operation. Executive Members have been sent an email with details of how to do this. For any issues linked to pre-ordering, please email [email protected].


Food & Drink

Members will be able to take advantage of the catering facilities within the Members Lounge, while Executive Members can pre-order food (details above).

Members are encouraged to use reusable hot drink cups, with all hot drinks discounted when using a reusable cup.

The menu for Executive Members will be communicated via the pre-ordering system.

Food in the Members Lounge will be served from approx. 12.30pm throughout the lunch interval. Please note there will be a limited hot food offer within the Members facility on Day Four.

Catering Units: The Falcons and Boundary Bar will be open for supporters to purchase a variety of hot and cold food, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. A selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate will also be available. The Boundary Bar will be open from 10.00am to 4.30pm on Days One to Three, and will be closed on Day Four.

Our hot food range includes award-winning Phat Cornish, cheese and butternut squash, spinach and vegan feta pasties, as well as delicious sausage rolls. For those with a sweet tooth, there will also be a range of handmade cakes on sale, including Victoria Sponge, lemon drizzle cake, as well as gluten free and vegan options.

Water Refill Stations: Free-to-use water refill stations are located outside of the Pavilion, the Ryley Wealth Elite Performance Centre and to the side of the Boundary Bar. Supporters can refill their own bottles, or purchase reusable cups from the Club Shop.

Spectators are permitted to bring their own refreshments to this fixture, however alcohol is limited to four standard size cans.

Reducing Plastic Waste: Derbyshire is committed to reducing its plastic waste and as such offers a reusable cup system. Simply order at the bar, pay for your drink and a 50p cleaning charge, keep using your cup throughout the matchday, then return your cup when you leave.


Reception & Club Shop

Reception in The Pavilion will be open to supporters wishing to purchase tickets for future fixtures/events, or to enquire about Membership.

Club Shop: The Club Shop on site at The County Ground will be open on the matchday. Please check the opening times on the front of the Club Shop.

Online Shop: The Club’s Online Shop is live at derbyshireccc.com, including replica kits and leisurewear, as well as heritage books regarding The County Ground, Derby and Queen’s Park, Chesterfield.

Scorecards: A blank scorecard template can be downloaded for free, HERE. A teamsheet can also be collected from Reception in the Pavilion (please allow time after the toss has been made for the teamsheet to be compiled). As part of the Club’s initiative to reduce paper waste, we encourage supporters to use the Club website for the latest score and team information via our Match Centre (details and link below).


Cashless Venue

Derbyshire County Cricket Club operates a cashless policy across all Club-managed points of sale on site – from ticket gates, to catering.

All of our catering and bar tills will accept all major debit/credit cards, as well as contactless payment options, including Apple and Android Pay.


Directions & Roadworks

The Derby County Community Trust Derby 10k takes place on Sunday 6 April (Day Three of this fixture) and road/lane closures will impact travel to The County Ground in the morning.

Road closures are in place in certain areas from 8.40am to 11.00am, including a single lane closure (leaving one open) on the A52.

The only covered seating zone is the East Midlands Demolition Stand.

Executive Members may use the Executive Lounge, while the Members Lounge will be used as an exclusive Members facility.

Supporters are encouraged to check the latest weather forecast before planning their visit and prepare accordingly. While refreshments will be available from outlets around the ground, the Club advises supporters to bring plenty of bottled water.
