Derbyshire have named a 13-player squad for the Rothesay County Championship fixture against Glamorgan at Sophia Gardens, starting tomorrow (11am).

Having struck 93 against Middlesex, David Lloyd will be looking to make an impact against his former club, while Martin Andersson comes into the game off the back of his second century of the season.

Alex Thomson claimed 12 wickets on his last visit to Cardiff, he’s named in the squad alongside fellow spinner, Jack Morley, as well as seamers Zak Chappell, Blair Tickner and Luis Reece.

The Opposition

Glamorgan are bottom of Rothesay County Championship Division Two, having picked up 15 points from their opening three fixtures.

Timm van der Gugten and Ned Leonard have each taken six wickets so far this season, while Kiran Carlson is the Club’s leading run-scorer with 267.

Wicketkeeper-batter, Brooke Guest, expressed his delight for extending his Derbyshire contract until the end of 2027.

He has featured in every game of Derbyshire’s unbeaten start to the 2025 season and believes the signs are positive for Mickey Arthur’s side.
