Derbyshire have named a 13-player squad for the Rothesay County Championship fixture against Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford, starting tomorrow (11am).
After the nail-biting draw against Glamorgan last time out, Derbyshire travel to Manchester knowing victory would keep them in the Division Two promotion race.

Luis Reece misses this fixture due to a hamstring injury sustained against Glamorgan, while Harry Moore (back) and Nye Donald (shoulder) continue their recovery with the Club’s Medical Team. The Opposition
Having fallen to defeat to Northamptonshire last time out, Lancashire come into this weekend’s fixture bottom of the Rothesay County Championship.
Despite Lancashire’s struggles so far, Australia’s Marcus Harris has been the standout batter in Division Two, plundering almost 750 runs from his ten innings so far.
George Balderson (14 wickets) leads the way with the ball for Lancashire, although the Red Rose could be boosted by the returns of James Anderson and Saqib Mahmood.
Pre-Match Talk
Anuj Dal believes the fighting spirit shown by Derbyshire this season has been key to their strong start.
Dal played a key role in claiming draws against Leicestershire and Glamorgan, while the likes of Martin Andersson, Caleb Jewell, Wayne Madsen, Zak Chappell and Brooke Guest have all turned the tide in games so far.
Ahead of Derbyshire’s trip to Old Trafford, the all-rounder is hoping to see a continuation of this grit against Lancashire this weekend.
