Customer Guide: Oasis & More and The Taylor Swift Experience

The Central Co-op County Ground is set for our tribute weekend, as we welcome Oasis & More (13 June) and The Taylor Swift Experience (14 June).

Oasis96, the ultimate Oasis tribute act, will be joined alongside Sham Fender, The Brightside Killers and Kasabain’t.

Then the Taylor Swift Experience comes to Derby with support from acts for Little Mix, The Spice Girls and Dua Lipa.

Arriving by Car

Visitors can drive to the main entrance at The Central Co-op County Ground off Pentagon Island, or via Sir Frank Whittle Road (see map below).

On-site car parking can also be accessed via the main entrance. This applies to those with a pre-purchased Car Park Ticket, as well as visitors wishing to purchase parking on the day. Car parking is on sale now at £10 in advance, please note that car park tickets on the day are subject to a price increase.

Premier Upgrade and VIP Lounge guests with complimentary Parking, will be parked by the Monarch Security Pavilion.

 

Arriving by Bus

The Central Co-op County Ground is located close to bus stops on Nottingham Road, which are serviced by Trent Barton buses across various routes around the region.

Arriving by Train

Derby is on the East Midlands Trains main line with direct trains from London St. Pancras via Leicester from the South, and Sheffield and Chesterfield from the North.

It is also on the Cross-Country line with trains from Scotland, Newcastle, Durham and Yorkshire, as well as The West Country, Bristol and Birmingham. Derby is also served by local trains from Burton, Matlock, Nottingham and the East Midlands.

The walk from the station takes about 20 minutes.

Viewing Area

General Admission
This is an all-standing concert, with a very limited amount of unreserved seating for General Ticket Buyers available towards the back of the venue.

Fold-up chairs are not permitted however, picnic blankets are permitted.

Please note, you may be asked to move your picnic blanket by stewards, in the interest of crowd safety.

 

Accessibility
There will be an accessible area located to the side of the stage. This will be reserved for accessibility users on the night. Accessibility car parking can be purchased for £10 in advance on a first-come, first-served basis, online or by calling 01332 388 101.

 

VIP & Premier Upgrade
VIP & Premier Upgrade guests will be able to access the exclusive viewing area towards the front of the seated area and will be directed by the Club hosts on the day. Please note that while that section is reserved for VIP & Premier Upgrade guests, the individual seats within that section remain unreserved.

 


Weather

Visitors are advised to dress for the conditions and please note this is an outdoor event, with grassed standing areas.

The fantastic live tour, which has already performed at numerous venues up and down the country, is designed for outdoor conditions and will not be cancelled in the event of rain.

Food & Drink

A variety of hot and cold food options will be available, a range of delicious food such as Woodfired Pizza, Burgers, Loaded Fries and Sweet and Savoury Waffles, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

 

All outlets will also offer a range of tasty vegan and gluten-free options.

 

Refreshments: For the Tribute Weekend, extra catering and pop-up bar facilities will be available around the stage area, serving a wide range of low and no-alcohol options, plus favourites including draught beers and ciders, bottled beers, wines, prosecco, cocktails (Pimms, Aperol , 0% pink Freixenet Spritz) and soft drinks.

The club operates Challenge 25 and a responsible drinking policy. All bars offer low alcohol, or 0% beer, cider and gin.

Visitors are not permitted to bring their own food or drink into the venue, except for food for special medicinal purposes (FSMPs).

Water in a clear sealed bottle will be permitted as well as empty water bottles to use our water refill stations.

 


Additional Information

There will also be a ‘Glam Wear’ stand which will be your go-to destination during Tribute Weekend, featuring festival wear, glitter art and other festival essentials.


Prohibited Items

There will be a number of prohibited items large bags and fold up chairs. Any dangerous items, such as pen knives, as well as any professional cameras or recording equipment will also be forbidden.

No food or alcohol can be brought into the venue. A variety of concession units will be available, located close to the stage, serving a range of hot and cold food, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests can bring water in a plastic bottle which is sealed into the venue.

Dogs will not be permitted at this event.

Umbrellas are permitted, however they should not be used in crowded areas.

Please be aware there are no covered areas on the ground.


Cashless Venue

Derbyshire County Cricket Club operates a cashless policy across all Club-managed points of sale on site – from ticket gates, to catering.

All of our catering and bar tills will accept all major debit/credit cards, as well as contactless payment options, including Apple and Android Pay.
