Pre-Match Pack: Outlaws (H) & Bears (A)

Derbyshire Falcons have named a 14-player squad for the fixtures against Notts Outlaws (Friday 6th) and Birmingham Bears (Sunday 8th).

The Falcons are looking to get their first win of the 2025 Vitality Blast campaign, with two fixtures taking place in the coming days.

Skipper Samit Patel combined with Caleb Jewell for a stand of 114 yesterday, with the duo looking to continue their good form with bat in hand.

The Opposition

The Outlaws come into the East Midlands Derby have won one and lost one this campaign. Jack Haynes leads batting charts with 112 runs in two innings, overseas fast bowler Daniel Sams has claimed three wickets across their opening two fixtures.

Sunday’s opponents, Birmingham Bears, have suffered two defeats to start their T20 season, losing to the Outlaws and Durham.

Ever reliable Sam Hain has a high score of 92 not out this summer, whereas Blast all-time leading wicket taker, Danny Briggs, has four wickets to his name and always poses a threat with the ball.
