Supporters can look forward to a special panel discussion at the BRM Chesterfield Cricket Festival, as The Cricketer’s Huw Turbervill, will be joined by former Derbyshire batter, Adrian Rollins, as well as Club Historian and Photographer, David Griffin.
The popular ‘Huw Meets’ podcast, which has featured the likes of Jack Russell and Ashley Giles in recent months, comes to Queen’s Park on Sunday 29 June (Day One versus Lancashire) and spectators will be able to watch the podcast live during the lunch interval by the Club Shop adjacent to the Pavilion.
The trio will discuss memories of cricket at the picturesque Queen’s Park, a ground which has been synonymous with Derbyshire County Cricket Club since it first hosted first-class cricket in 1898.
Tickets for each day of the Rothesay County Championship match versus Lancashire are on sale now, priced at £20 for Adults, £5 for Students and all Under 16s go free.
Sir James Anderson, England’s greatest ever fast bowler, is set to lead a strong Lancashire side in the Rothesay County Championship, as Wayne Madsen’s Derbyshire hope to continue their good start to the four-day season.
Supporters can also look forward to a breadth of one-day cricket, as Derbyshire Falcons Women open the Festival on Saturday 28 June with a T20 fixture against Worcestershire Rapids Women (2.30pm start), before The Blaze take on Hampshire Women on Friday 4 July (3.30pm start). The week-long event closes with the showpiece local derby in the Vitality Blast as Derbyshire Falcons Men face Yorkshire Men on Sunday 6 July, with the Falcons targeting an eighth-consecutive win over their rivals under the Spire.
