England name squad or ICC Women's World Cup

England have named their squad for the 2025 ICC Women’s World Cup, with Derbyshire-born spinner, Sarah Glenn, included. 

Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway graduate, Glenn, will play in her first 50-over competition, having previously appeared in three ICC T20 Women’s World Cups. She has claimed more than 100 international wickets since her debut in 2019 and is regarded as one of the finest white-ball spinners on the planet.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge, who also spent time in the Derbyshire system, has also been recalled to the One-Day International squad (ODI), having scored more than 2,000 ODI runs in her career.

This will be the first major tournament of the Charlotte Edwards/Nat Sciver Brunt era, with England’s first game coming against South Africa on Friday 3 October.


England in Derby 2026: 

England will be hoping to return to Derby as world champions in 2026, as they play two huge games at The Central Co-op County Ground, with the first coming against ICC T20 Women’s World Cup holders, New Zealand, on Wednesday 20 May.
