Derbyshire-born Bess Heath is one game away from the Women’s Big Bash final, after her side Brisbane Heat won their first eliminator game earlier today.
The right-handed batter has a top score in the tournament of 51 off 26 balls, including five fours and three sixes, and will be looking to help continue the recent upturn in form for the Brisbane franchise.
The Heat however must overcome Perth Scorchers in an another eliminator game to secure their spot in the final, which takes place on Saturday.
During her time in Australia, Heath was teammates with fellow Derbyshire-born England star, Sarah Glenn, before her departure to Oman in preparation for England duty in India.
Heath will join her fellow internationals in India, after being named in both the Test and white ball squads for the tour of Asia, with the first T20 scheduled to take place 6 December in Mumbai.
Good luck, Bess!
