Following Derbyshire’s 2023 Membership survey, a host of additions, changes and improvements have been made to the Club’s 2024 offering, with flexibility and Member satisfaction being the priority.

More than 400 current and lapsed Members took part in the survey, which was conducted with the aim of improving Derbyshire’s Membership offering, as well as attracting new and returning supporters in 2024 and beyond.

Further surveys will be conducted, in addition to regular Members’ Forums, with the Club wanting to remain in close dialogue with Members and supporters, in order to make their Derbyshire experience the best possible.

The key responses to the 2023 Membership survey are listed below:

Flexible products and payments

One of the main reasons cited by lapsed Members as to why they had not renewed was that they felt the fixture schedule in previous years did not match up with their own availablity, and there were also not a varied enough list of Membership products to accomodate those who could not watch the majority of days throughout the summer.

In response to this, the Club has increased its offering of flexible/smaller Membership products, which apply to a variety of formats, such as Blast Pass, which includes all Derbyshire Falcons Vitality Blast home fixtures.

The 8 for £80 bundle, which can be used on any eight days of County Championship or Metro Bank One Day Cup cricket, saw a good response in its first year and will return for 2024.

The Festival Pass has also been launched, and will include all five matchdays of the BRM Solicitors Chesterfield Festival of Cricket for just £49, meaning you can enjoy the full County Championship game and the popular Vitality Blast fixture against Yorkshire for less next summer.

The Club has been in close contact with the ECB regarding the 2024 fixture list, and offered feedback regarding Member concerns.

The 2024 schedule will see an increase in weekend cricket, as well as County Championship action played in every month of the season, including the height of summer.

Another addition made to the 2024 Membership offering, as a result of substantial survey feedback, is subscription Membership, which offers a managable monthly payment plans, rather than one lump sum.

Family

2023 Membership saw the introduction of our offer of two free Junior Memberships with the purchase of a full adult package during the Early Bird Window. This saw Junior Membership numbers grow by 60%.

This offer returns for 2024 Membership, with new and renewing Members again able to claim up to two free junior packages, as the Club aims to further expand our younger audience, as we welcome the next generation of Derbyshire supporters.

In addition to this commitment, under 16s will be able to watch every day of home County Championship cricket for free in 2024, when accompanied by an adult Member or supporter.

The Club also continues to offer reserved seating in the Family Zone at all Vitality Blast and international fixtures, with Members being given first option to secure their seats.

Guest passes

For the first time ever, Derbyshire are inviting Members to use their guest passes for a T20 fixture, as Derbyshire face Birmingham Bears on Sunday 16 June, as part of a double-header, which will also see The Blaze take on South East Stars in the Charlotte Edwards Cup, as part of our Family Day at The Incora County Ground.

Guest passes can also be used at any day of home County Championship or Metro Bank One Day Cup cricket, and are a great way of introducing friends to the world of Derbyshire cricket.

Additional benefits

Following Member feedback, selected free racedays at Uttoxeter Racecourse have returned, while three racedays at Southwell Racecourse have been added, as part of the 2024 Membership package.

Reciprocal agreements have also been made, which will see Derbyshire Members able to attend County Championship fixtures at Yorkshire, Lancashire, Leicestershire and Warwickshire, meaning 2024 Members will get even more cricket next summer.
