The 2018 Vitality Blast saw new Derbyshire recruit Pat Brown have a breakout year, as the right-arm seamer could not stop taking wickets in a brilliant campaign.
Brown finished the tournament as the leading wicket-taker with 31 dismissals, the second most in Blast history.
The right-armer, who was in his second season as a Worcestershire player, helped the side to their maiden T20 trophy after claiming four wickets in the semi-final alongside an economical spell in the final.

In the second game of the season, Brown was named Player of the Match for his impressive 3 for 28 in the Pears vs Bears Derby.
In the next three games, Brown continued his wicket-taking forming, with eight dismissals as the Rapids continued to pick up victories in a bid to qualify for the knockout stages.
Two against Durham, three versus Northants and another two more wickets against Durham at Chester-le-Street followed for Brown, as the rich wicket-taking form continued, before a brilliant return of 3 for 21 against Notts Outlaws in a dominant 72-run victory.
In more or less every Blast game Brown played during the 2018 campaign, he continued to take wickets as the Rapids secured a home quarter-final against Gloucestershire as his side secured a trip to Finals Day with a five-wicket victory.
In September, the Finals Day at Edgbaston commenced with the first game being Brown’s Rapids side facing the Red Rose of Lancashire Lightning.
After posting 169, the Rapids prevented Lancashire getting close to their target as Brown stunted the chase in the death overs, claiming three wickets in the penultimate over which only cost one run.
Sussex Sharks were Brown’s opponents in the final, who boasted a strong top order containing Luke Wright and Phil Salt.
Although he did not claim a wicket, Brown’s four over only cost 15 runs as Sussex were limited to 157.
The Rapids batters completed the job, securing the title with nine balls remaining, as Brown finished the memorable tournament as one of the best players for the year.
Derbyshire supporters have already had a glimpse of what Brown can do with the ball, after a brief loan spell at the back end of last season. After playing against Derbyshire over the years, fans will know what Brown brings to the bowling line-up, especially in limited overs formats, as his change-ups, slower balls and cutters bamboozle batters and will help the side as they push for trophies this year.
