England wrapped up their IT20 series against New Zealand in dominant style, claiming a five-wicket win at Wellington.
England took the series with a 4-1 win, with Heather Knight, Maia Bouchier, Charlie Dean and Derbyshire’s own Sarah Glenn among those to impress, with their exceptional squad depth highlighted by several players missing games through playing in the WPL.
Three former Derbyshire Women & Girls Pathway players featured in the series, with Glenn and Bess Heath being joined by Danni Wyatt, who became England Women’s all-time leading IT20 run-scorer earlier this month.
The three-match One-Day International series between the two sides begins on Sunday, with England looking to replicate their strong T20 form in the 50-over arena, before heading back to home soil for the English summer.
England return to Derby on Thursday 23 May for their first home 50-over fixture of 2024, when they face Pakistan at The County Ground, with tickets on sale now.
Heather Knight’s side have a long history of success at Derby, and they will be looking to continue that tradition, having played in front of a capacity crowd against Sri Lanka at the venue in September 2023.
Reserved seating is available to book in the Family Zone, with the game starting at 1pm, you can secure your place for after school as we approach the dramatic climax of England Women vs Pakistan in white ball action. Group discounts are also available, for bookings of five or more adults.
