The Cricket Derbyshire Foundation offer several different opportunities for young people to get involved in cricket for FREE through our Chance to Shine Street Cricket Offer.
Street Cricket is a fast-paced version of the game played with a tape ball. It’s six players per team with 20 balls per innings. It is cricket’s answer to five-a-side football! At sessions you will have the opportunity to take part in games and drill work alongside qualified DCF street coaches.
There are two different types of sessions, Youths (8–15 year olds) and Young Adults (16–24 year olds). All the sessions are FREE and it’s a great chance to make new friends!
Throughout the year, there are also opportunities for street hub participants to represent Derbyshire in Chance to Shine Street Competitions. There are also opportunities to get involved in other programmes the DCF run to continue to provide more access to cricket.
