Charlotte Edwards Cup Finals Day teams confirmed

The Blaze will be joined by South East Stars, Central Sparks and defending champions, Southern Vipers, at the Charlotte Edwards Cup Finals Day, at The County Ground this Saturday. 

The East Midlands-based Blaze lost just one of their ten games to qualify for the showpiece event at Derby, which for the first time ever will follow the format of the men’s Vitality Blast Finals Day, with both semi-finals and the final itself all being played on the same day.

England internationals, such as Tammy Beaumont, Sophia Dunkley, Danni Wyatt and Derbyshire’s own Sarah Glenn could all be in action, as four of the country’s best sides battle it out to win England’s premier women’s T20 competition.

Scotland all-rounder, Katherine Bryce, is the competition’s leading run-scorer, with 372 runs, while Blaze teammate, Kirstie Gordon, tops the wickets column with 19 dismissals.

South East Stars were the only side to defeat The Blaze during the group stage, as they finished in the second place, while Southern Vipers claimed third spot in the final round of games, as they aim to defend their crown. The Edgbaston-based Central Sparks will be hoping to bring those Finals Day vibes from Birmingham to Derby this Saturday.

Tickets are on sale now for the Charlotte Edwards Cup Finals Day, advanced adult tickets start from just £12.50, while junior tickets are priced at just £5, All tickets include all three fixtures, with the first semi-final to begin from 11am, the second semi-final from 2.30pm and the final starting at 6.45 pm, rounding off an exciting day of cricketing action.
