Derbyshire return to Queen’s Park this June for the BRM Chesterfield Festival of Cricket, in association with Chesterfield Borough Council.
The popular festival begins with the Vitality County Championship match against Yorkshire, starting on Sunday 30 June; 11am. If you are joining us for this fixture, please read the information below which will ensure that your visit is safe, enjoyable and comfortable.

Vitality Blast action also returns to Queen’s Park on Sunday 7 July (2.30pm start) as Derbyshire Falcons take on Yorkshire Vikings.
The hugely popular local derby sold out in advance in each of the last five occasions and demand for tickets has been high again in 2024.
Fewer than 5% of tickets are now remaining. Book now and don’t miss the T20 entertainment in Chesterfield.
The Blaze also return to Queen’s Park during the week-long festival, to play Southern Vipers in a Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Trophy (50-over) fixture on Friday 5 July (10.30am start). Entry for this fixture will be free for all spectators.
Gates for the County Championship match open at 9.30am for Members and ticket holders and we ask all supporters not to arrive before this time to avoid queues on adjacent roads.
Pre-Purchased Parking: Entry by car for those with a pre-purchased Car Park Ticket, or a 2024 Car Park Season Pass (including Executive Members) will be via the main entrance off Boythorpe Avenue (please see above map).
Purchase Parking On the Day: If any parking spaces are unsold in advance, these will be made for sale on the day on a first come, first served basis. Parking prices increase to £10 on the day of the fixture.

Please do not park at Queen’s Park Sports Centre, this is reserved for sports centre users.

Ground Access by Foot/Public Transport: Supporters who arrive on foot or by public transport and have pre-purchased tickets or a Derbyshire Membership Card can enter the ground via any of the three entrances displayed on the above map – off Boythorpe Avenue, via the Lake End (near the play area), or off Park Road.
Ticket Scanning: Once parked, or at the venue entrance on foot, all supporters will be required to pass through a scanning checkpoint, as directed by signage and on-site stewards.
You must present your Membership card or match ticket to be scanned (club-issued printed ticket, printed e-ticket, or e-ticket displayed on a smartphone).

By Train
At the time of publication, there is a direct train service scheduled to be running from Derby to Chesterfield on each day of this fixture.

By Bus
Trent Barton operate a Comet service from Derby to Chesterfield from seven days a week. Please note that a limited service is in operation on Sundays.

Spectator Seating: Seating will be available around the ground, with the Members’ seating area located by the Main Pavilion.
Reserved/Unreserved Seating: All seating will be unreserved for this fixture, including the Members’ area.
Accessibility: Priority seating for supporters with accessible needs will be available at various locations around the ground. If any supporter requires assistance with any seating arrangements, please contact your nearest steward.
Own Chairs: Supporters are permitted to bring their own chairs and picnic blankets for this fixture.
Dogs: Supporters can bring dogs into County Championship and One-Day Cup fixtures, but not Vitality Blast matches.
2024 Season and Life Members will have exclusive access to the benched seating area to the side of the Main Pavilion. Please have your Membership Card ready to present to the steward upon entry.
Executive Members will have exclusive use of the Executive Marquee, while the pre-order system for hot food will continue to be in operation. Executive Members have been sent an email with details of how to do this. For any issues linked to pre-ordering, please email [email protected].
Refreshments: There will be a range of catering units on site, serving a variety of hot and cold food, including vegetarian and vegan options. Plus, no visit to Queen’s Park would be complete without an ice cream from Frederick’s of Chesterfield!
Stay refreshed with Brampton Brewery, who will be back at this year’s BRM Solicitors Chesterfield Festival of Cricket, serving a range of locally-brewed ales.
The Club operates Challenge 25 and a responsible drinking policy. Low alcohol, or 0% beer, cider and gin will be available.
Reusable Drinkware: The Club operates a Reusable Drinkware policy, details of which can be found HERE.
Spectators are permitted to bring their own refreshments to this fixture, however alcohol is limited to four standard-size cans, or equivalent. Please note, our Alcohol Policy states no more than four drinks can be served to any one person per transaction.
Club Shop: The Club Shop, located in the conservatory on the top bank by the pavilion, will be open during the lunch and tea intervals.
Online Shop: The Club’s Online Shop is now live at derbyshireccc.com. The shop now includes replica Vitality Blast shirts, as well as a range of other Club merchandise and the official Derbyshire County Cricket Club 150th Anniversary book.
Scorecards: A blank scorecard template can be downloaded for free, HERE. A team sheet can also be collected from the Club Shop in the conservatory. As part of the Club’s initiative to reduce paper waste, we encourage supporters to use the Club website for the latest score and team information via our Match Centre (details and link below).
There are no areas of covered seating and supporters are encouraged to check the latest weather forecast before planning their visit and prepare accordingly.
While refreshments will be available from outlets around the ground, the Club advises supporters to bring plenty of bottled water.

All of our catering and bar tills will accept all major debit/credit cards, as well as contactless payment options, including Apple and Android Pay.
