Ben Slater has been named Showcase Cinema de Lux Player of the Month for July.
Supporters were able to vote for their Player of the Month, sponsored by the Club’s Official Family Partners, Showcase Cinema de Lux.
The vote was held on our official twitter page, @DerbyshireCCC, and the opening batsman was named the winner with 65% of the vote.
Slater was the outstanding performer in Derbyshire’s Royal London One Day Cup campaign, and struck a career best 148* in the game with Northants, as well as hitting 124 against Sri Lanka A in the Bell & Co tour match at The 3aaa County Ground.
The 24-year-old also top-scored for the county in the fixture versus Notts Outlaws at Welbeck with a well-made half-century in testing times.
In total, Slater hit 330 runs in his four matches in July at an average of 110.
