As we gear up for the 2025 Vitality Blast, we take a weekly look at an iconic Friday Night Falcons T20 moment at The County Ground. Here, we head back to 2022, as George Scrimshaw held his nerve against Lancashire Lightning.
The Falcons were defending 188 at The County Ground, after Shan Masood (75) and Wayne Madsen (70) had delighted the Derbyshire crowd with an array of strokes and big hits.
However, Quickfire knocks from Luke Wells, Steven Croft and Tim David meant George Scrimshaw would have to defend 11 off the final over, having already conceded 48 runs off his previous three overs.
Scrimshaw restricted David to a single and only conceded an edged four, while dismissing Rob Jones with the penultimate ball of the match, in front of a raucous croud at Derby.
