Fireworks Night & Fun Fair: Visitor Guide

The 3aaa County Ground is hosting Derby’s biggest fireworks display this Saturday 5 November, with our Fireworks Night & Fun Fair spectacular, in partnership with Pattonair.

Following talks with Derby City Council, the Club has stepped in to host the event and ensure the city has a major fireworks night event this November.

There’s lots to look forward to on the night, with music and entertainment from Capital Breakfast’s Dino and Pete, a massive pyrotechnic and fireworks display and a large fun fair.

To help plan your night with us, please read the below visitor information to ensure your visit is safe, enjoyable and comfortable.

Fireworks Night & Fun Fair

Saturday 5 November – The 3aaa County Ground, Derby

5pm – Gates open, Fun Fair starts and catering units open
6pm – Entertainment and music on stage from Capital Breakfast’s Dino and Pete
7pm – Spectacular fireworks display
10pm – Fun Fair closes

Tickets

Visitors can save by purchasing their tickets and collecting them from the ground before the event on Saturday night. The advance price will be available until midday on Saturday.

Tickets can be purchased either over the phone on 01332 388 101 or in person at The 3aaa County Ground; Nottingham Road, Derby; DE21 6DA (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).

The advance price will be available until 12.30pm on Saturday 5 November. Ticket Office will be open until 3pm to collect tickets.

The ticket office at The 3aaa County Ground will remain open until 7pm on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 November for people to collect pre-purchased tickets.

Tickets will be available to buy on the gate on the night.

Please note; to comply with ground regulations, under-13s must be accompanied by an adult. 

Ground Access

The are several points of entry to the ground for pedestrians on the night;

  • The main general admission entrance by the 3aaa Pavilion gates which can be reached from Pentagon Island and Nottingham Road.
  • Access opposite the Travelodge, which can be reached from either Sir Frank Whittle Road or Pentagon Island/Nottingham Road
  • Two entry points from Sir Frank Whittle Way
  • Access from behind the Elite Performance Centre via Grandstand Road

The Club is advising all guests to give plenty of time to arrive, get to the ground as early as possible to avoid the queues and plan their journey in advance. Gates open at 5pm. We look forward to welcoming you to The 3aaa County Ground.

Please note that dogs, sparklers, fireworks and alcohol are not allowed to be brought into the ground on the night.

There are no cash points on site at The 3aaa County Ground. Nearest cash point is at Barclays on Stores Road.

Parking

There are several Car Parking sites located around the vicinity of the ground. Visitors will be able to park their car within a short walk of the general admission area, at a cost of £5 per car.

Car Parking is available at the follow sites; 

  • Sites on Stores Road (DE21 4BE)
  • Racecourse Car Park off St Marks Road (DE21 6AL)
  • Cardinal Square (DE1 3QT)

Please note; the Cattle Market off Chequers Road (DE21 6EP) will also be open. This will be a Pay & Display car park run by Derby City Council, charged at £6 per car.

Limited disabled parking is available on-site. To secure your disabled parking space, please call 01332 388 101 in advance of the night. All car parks will be stewarded.
