Derbyshire have named a 14-player squad for the Rothesay County Championship fixture against Lancashire at Queen’s Park, Chesterfield, starting on Sunday (11am).
Opening batter, Caleb Jewell, will be hoping for a strong showing at the BRM Chesterfield Festival of Cricket, as he remains in the race to reach 1,000 County Championship runs first this summer. The Australian currently has 808, putting him fourth on the list, just 21 runs away from leader Ben Compton.
After a thrilling draw against Gloucestershire at Bristol, Wayne Madsen’s unbeaten Derbyshire will be looking for a win over Jimmy Anderson’s Lancashire, to keep them in the hunt for promotion.
Luis Reece (ankle) and David Lloyd (hamstring) both miss the match, while Harry Moore (back) also remains sidelined.

Lancashire were frustrated by Kent in their search for a first Rothesay County Championship win of the season, despite having been on top for much of the final two days.
England’s greatest-ever fast bowler, Sir Jimmy Anderson, will lead the Red Rose at Chesterfield, in the absence of Marcus Harris, who is on paternity leave.
Australian duo, Chris Green and Ashton Turner, could fill the overseas spots, having both impressed last time out against Kent.
