A617 Road Closure for T20 vs Yorkshire

The BRM Chesterfield Festival of Cricket concludes this weekend with the Vitality Blast fixture between Derbyshire Falcons and Yorkshire at Queen’s Park on Sunday 6 July (2.30pm). There is a scheduled road closure on the A617 which will impact supporters leaving the M1 at Junction 29.

Derbyshire County Cricket Club encourages all spectators to read its Matchday Guide before travelling to the venue and to plan journeys in advance and allow additional time when travelling to Queen’s Park. Gates open at 12.30pm.


A617 Road Closure

The A617 (Hasland Bypass) is scheduled to be closed on Sunday from Temple Normanton to the Hornsbridge Roundabout from 6am to 6pm. Diversions will be in place and supporters are encouraged to allow additional time for their journeys to Queen’s Park.

Alternative Routes

Diversions will be in place, however, spectators can also consider the below alternative routes.

  • Travelling South on the M1 – leave at Junction 29A and follow the A632 into Chesterfield
  • Travelling North on the M1- leave at Junction 29 and take the A6175 signpost Clay Cross. Take a right onto Main Road, then follow Mansfield Road into Hasland, before following Storforth Lane to join the A61
  • Travelling West on the A617 – at the M1 Junction 29 roundabout, take the A6175 signpost Clay Cross. Take a right onto Main Road, then follow Mansfield Road into Hasland, before following Storforth Lane to join the A61
