Derbyshire will face a North Staffordshire & South Cheshire Select XI in a one-day pre-season friendly on Saturday 1 April at Moddershall Cricket Club, Staffordshire.
This fixture will be the squad’s first pre-season game ahead of the 2017 season, and will be followed by the three-day university fixture versus Loughborough University, starting on Friday 7 April, at Loughborough.
The new Specsavers County Championship fixture then begins on Friday 14 April with Northamptonshire the visitors to The 3aaa County Ground, 11am start.
